Update

It has been quite a while since I updated and a lot has happened!

Towards the end of the summer I was able to buy a car! So that was a huge answer to prayer, it is a little bit of an older car so there is still some work that needs to be done with it. I just recently found out the heat is not working which will not be good with winter being round the corner.

I am currently in the middle of student teaching. I have already been in the classroom for 8 weeks and have about 4 more weeks left. I am teaching a split 3rd and 4th classroom. The students are all pretty well behaved and I am starting to enjoy myself a little bit more each day. I am extremely busy and tired a lot because I am still working three jobs on the side. It has been a real blessing that I have made it through this far without getting sick. In order to make it through the long days of teaching and then work after wards I always try to get a lot of sleep, but at the end of the day am often still drained and extremely tired.

It is now only 7 more months until the wedding and so I am starting to think more about the wedding plans and all the different things that still need to be done for that. This is also starting to get a little stressful.

As the days go by I am just getting more and more ready to graduate and leave Judson, and I am excited to be done with student teaching so that I have a little bit less stress to deal with.

Currently I am not sure yet what I will be doing for Christmas, I would love to go home and spent Christmas with my family one last time, but am not sure if that is something that will be possible.

Summer

So its finally summer...

I managed to get a job working on campus in one of the offices.. it's not the greatest job, and not a lot of hours, but at least it's something.

I am currently in Germany for three weeks with my family. My sister and Aaron fly in on Wednesday and then it will be nice to have the whole family together again. My parents are still extremely busy but at least it's nice to see them and spent some time with them here and there.

I fly back to the states in 2 weeks and continue working with my summer job, I am also hoping to final buy a much needed car for my student teaching next semester, so I will hopeful be able to do that once I get back to the states.

The summer is going by so fast. In July I will be going to Pennsylvania to the wedding of Corbi who is a good friend from RVA. I am really excited to see her get married and also to hopefully see some other old friends from RVA.

I am also very excited for Gabi to come to the states and join me at Judson next month, it will be so nice to have another family member close by.

April

I can't believe it's already April and the weather is finally starting to get warmer...
Over spring break I finally got my drivers license!
Tomorrow I start my practicum 3, this means I will be in the classroom everyday from tomorrow until the end of the semester. I will be helping as a teacher's aid and also teaching a few lessons a week. This means I will be driving to school everyday...I am a little nervous about that as I just recently got my license.

Summer is approaching quite fast, I am still not exactly sure what I will be doing. I have managed to find some work here on campus for the start of May, and then am hoping to go to Germany for a couple of weeks in June to see my family before they head back to Zambia. I am still praying that I will find a job here on campus for July and August.

As happy as I am that summer is coming so fast, it is also stressing me out a little bit because I have so many projects to do and night classes to attendt, and I will be at the elementary school all day so I will need to find time in the afternoon and evening to squeeze in time to go work at my job.

On Friday Ryan and I attented to the Imago Film Festival here at Judson (a film festival for short christian films). We even won "cutest couple" :)




Over the weekend we also finalized our wedding date and made our reservation at the reception site. We had to do it this early because another couple was interested in renting the facility for the same wedding date. Its exciting having started the first part of the wedding plans, even though it is still quite a ways away...(398 days to be exact:)) We also have our wedding website up www.theknot.com/ourwedding/RyanReopelle&StinePflaum2012

SpRinG BrEaK!!

It's finally spring break!! It has been a long semester and spring break could not have come any sooner!! School wise this has been the hardest semester so far. From the first week I have felt overwhelmed with homework and group projects. It's such a relief to know that I am now halfway done with this semester.

I am still working several jobs this semester which is one of the reasons why it has been so hard for me to keep up with school work. I am still working in the cafeteria, and in two other school offices on campus. As summer is now drawing closer I am now once again trying to figure out what I will be doing over the summer. I really need to get a job(s) to work as I am still saving for a car for next semester when I do student teaching, and am also starting to save for the the wedding next summer. On top of that I am also hoping to go to Germany for part of the summer so that I can see my family. I am still not sure how that is going to work as I still don't know what kind of job I will get.

The past month has been extremely stressful and so right now over spring break all I want to do is relax and get my energy back, however it feels like the homework is never ending and I have countless lesson plans and projects to work on this week.

Ryan and I have set our wedding date for 5/5/12 so we still have 14 long months until then. However we are taking some time this weekend to already start looking at some venues, I want to get as much planned early on as possible so that the months before our wedding are not so stressful as it will be a week after we graduate.

A couple of months ago I went out with a few of my girlfriends to celebrate my engagement, we had a photo shoot afterward, it was all a lot of fun. :)Tomorrow I am hoping to get my drivers license, I am doing practicum 3 in April, which is like a mini student teaching and I will need to be in the classroom everyday in April and so will need to be able to drive there! Thankfully I will be able to use Ryan's car for that month.

On the rare occasions that we are all in our room together I have had a lot of fun with my two roommates this semester (Eleanor and Bri) and we are planning on rooming again together next year.

I cant believe we are already gong to be seniors next year! Time has flown by so fast, but I am also extremely ready to be done with school!

I am also hoping that my little sister Gabi will be able to join me here at Judson next semester, she has applied and now we are just waiting to see how things develop. It would be so exciting to have another family member close to me!
